The chocolates and trimmings are in the shops, so Christmas can’t be far away, but Santa doesn’t have to be the only one bringing surprises.
A surprise photoshoot can be a great way to capture a special moment, such as a wedding proposal, or a day out.
Recently I’ve met two lovely couples, Hardeep was coming to London for the weekend to pop the question to his future wife, whilst Ben and Louise we’re having a day out at one of their favourite places shortly before their baby was due.
Hardeep’s shoot was at night, so I was on the scene with a couple of hours to spare, checking out lighting conditions and scouting good locations for the rest of the evening’s shoot. A flurry of text messages passed the info to Hardeep and we were ready, all it needed now was a “yes”. The images from the Proposal and subsequent shoot in the evening, would make a lovely addition to the wedding story, told in your wedding album and as in this case a lovely photograph for a signing image at the reception.
Ben and Louise had looked at maternity images and talked about a bump shoot for ages, so Ben arranged for me to meet them on a day out as a lovely surprise for Lou. Again, we texted beforehand so I could advise Ben on what he should try and get Louise to wear and where we planned our initial meeting. Ben and Louise loved spending time at the local animal park and we took some fantastic images that will mean so much to them when they look back in the future and will also be part of a lovely story, when we hopefully meet there again after the birth, with the new addition to their family.
There is always a great energy about a surprise photo shoot, after some initial secretive photos taken with a long lens and then the introductions to “the girl with the pink hair over there taking photos of us”, it’s a great ice breaker and lends a real buzz to the rest of the shoot.
Get creative now, come on over to the prices page, or contact me, to surprise someone you love by booking a photoshoot and let’s have some fun!
